Ronaldo
Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has emerged as the first soccer billionaire, The PUNCH reports
The 35-year-old Juventus star is the third athlete after Tiger Woods and Floyd Mayweather to hit the $1 billion earnings mark while still actively competing, according to Forbes.
Forbes via its Twitter handle said Ronaldo earned $105 million in the past year (2019), making him number 4 on the 2020 Forbes list.
Ronaldo raked in £85million last year from his wages and endorsement deals, pushing him into becoming a billionaire.
His capital for the past year was second only to tennis superstar, Roger Federer, in the athletic world and it made him the number one in the game of football.

Anthony Joshua
World heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, has opened up on his challenges in finding true love, adding that he is yet to find a partner.
Speaking with The Sun UK, Joshua also opened up about the struggles he has been facing while trying to align his career with his personal life.
According to him, he hopes to find a woman who would have to understand what it’s to be famous,
He said, “I think one can date and still be a successful sportsman but it has been very hard for me to find a balance and I would have to compromise which I have not been able to do.
“My dad never gave me advice about much. But in terms of relationships, what I have learned and what I will always tell my son is, it would be nice to find a high school sweetheart and to grow together because as you get older, you get set in your ways.
“For me to have a relationship now, it means I would have to compromise and change my ways and I don’t know how easy that would be for me.
“I date but I don’t get to the stage where I actually put anyone into that position.
“I don’t have a girlfriend and I haven’t had one for a while but as I get older I think it would be nice to have someone to grow with as well but honestly I haven’t found anyone.
”I have been thinking, maybe I need to get off the estate and start going to celebrity parties maybe do something different.
“I really hope that I will probably meet someone who understands fame, that would really make sense.
“But then it needs to be someone down to earth, someone who is family-orientated and would take my mum as their second mum.
“As I get older it would be nice to bring someone into my world but it’s dependent on who and I just haven’t found someone yet.”
Speaking on his boxing fight with British rival, Tyson Fury, Joshua said if he was to fight again this year, it would probably be in November or December.
“In my own mind, I had mentally written off most of this year but, if I am to fight this year, it would probably be in November or December.
“It’s difficult at the moment knowing how you cover the costs, and whether you could charge people in the circumstances for pay per view,” he added.
Brendan Rogers
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers said he could hardly walk after contracting the novel coronavirus in March but he has since made a full recovery.
Rodgers is the second manager to confirm he had a positive test for COVID-19 after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
He said he showed strong symptoms and was left breathless after falling ill shortly after the Premier League season was suspended.
“I could hardly walk and it reminded me of walking up Mount Kilimanjaro,” Rodgers, who climbed the mountain for charity in 2011, said.
“We had a week off when we were supposed to play Watford and then the week after that, I started to struggle.
“For three weeks I had no smell or taste. I had no strength, and a week after, my wife was the same. We were tested and both of us were detected with the virus,” the 47-year-old former Liverpool and Celtic boss added.
“I remember trying to run for the first time and it was hard to go 10 yards. I had no real appetite and it was a weird sensation of eating food without ever tasting and smelling what it was.
It has made me really appreciate being fit and healthy.”
Since players returned to limited group training last Tuesday, 12 positive tests for the virus have been confirmed at England’s top flight clubs.
The Premier League, which has nine rounds remaining, will restart on June 17, with Leicester in third place on 53 points, four behind second-placed Manchester City.
Tyson and Joshua
British boxer, Tyson Fury, has said that he would knock out fellow countryman, Anthony Joshua, in the 3rd round because the 30-year-old has ‘no footwork’.
Fury also claimed that Joshua has been avoiding to fight him for 5 years.
Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are both on course for a heavyweight unification fight next year.
Fury knocked out American boxer, Deontay Wilder, in his last fight in Las Vegas last February.
Joshua also defeated Mexican-American boxer, Andy Ruiz Jr, in his last fight in Saudi Arabia last December.
“Anthony Joshua’s style is tailor-made for mine,” Fury told Redknapp’s Home Fixture on Sky Sports.
“He is strong and powerful, but he got no footwork.
“I have been offering to fight Anthony Joshua for the last five years, and it has not happened at all.
“I think I would knock him out in two or three rounds.”

"Stardom fans, we are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away. Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends.

Kimura, whose mother Kyoko was also a professional wrestler, began her career in March 2016 and scooped the title of JWP Junior Championship six months later.
She won the Goddess of Stardom Championship in 2017 after teaming up with fellow pro, Kagetsu. Two years later she was awarded Stardom's 2019 Fighting Spirit Award at the Goddess of Stardom Championship.
Earlier this year Kimura joined the cast of Terrace House, a show where six strangers live together under one roof.
It has restarted after a month-long break due to coronavirus, however, Netflix Japan has paused plans to release a new episode in response to the news.
Tributes have been paid to Kimura from several pro wrestlers and wrestling groups around the world.
Portuguese star Raquel Lourenço, known by her stage name Killer Kelly, wrote on Twitter: "I wish this wasn't true. I only met Hana Kimura a handful of times, but her smile and happiness were contagious.
"I have this image of her putting makeup on the ResGal and just looking so peaceful and beautiful. I feel ill inside... people should be better than this. Be kind."
English pro wrestler Will Ospreay, who currently is signed to the group New Japan Pro-Wrestling, said: "There are so many nights I would go to [Tokyo district] Roppongi & I was joined by one of the most beautiful vibrant women I've ever met.
"I would always smile around her & her laugh would just have [an] effect on everyone. I can't express how heartbroken I am for the Stardom Family. RIP Hana Kimura."
The National Wrestling Alliance, based in the US, wrote on Twitter: "The National Wrestling Alliance sends its deepest condolences on the passing of Stardom star Hana Kimura."
Florida-based group, All Elite Wrestling, said: "AEW and the wrestling community mourn the passing of Hana Kimura. May she Rest In Peace, and our thoughts are with her family, her friends, and her fans."
