The President of US, Donald Trump has been rushed to a bunker in the White House after protesters threw rocks at the house.

As protests take violent turn in the US, it has been reported that US President Donald Trump was rushed to a White House bunker on Friday by Secret Service agents as hundreds of people protesting the death of George Floyd gathered outside the executive mansion, some of them throwing rocks and tugging at police barricades.
Metro UK reported that Mr Trump spent nearly an hour in the bunker, which was designed for use in emergencies like terrorist attacks, according to a Republican close to the White House who was not authorised to publicly discuss it and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The source’s account was confirmed by an administration official who also spoke on condition of anonymity. The abrupt decision by the agents underscored the rattled mood inside the White House, where the chants from protesters in Lafayette Park could be heard all weekend and Secret Service agents and law enforcement officers struggled to contain the crowds.
Friday’s protests were triggered by the death of Mr Floyd, a black man who died after he was pinned by a knee on his neck by a white Minneapolis police officer.
The demonstrations in Washington turned violent and appeared to catch officers by surprise, sparking one of the highest alerts on the White House complex since the September 11 attacks in 2001 . ‘The White House does not comment on security protocols and decisions,’ said White House spokesman Judd Deere, while the Secret Service said it does not discuss the means and methods of its protective operations. The president and his family have been shaken by the size and venom of the crowds, according to the Republican source who spoke with the Associated Press.
It was not immediately clear if First Lady Melania Trump and the couple’s 14-year-old son, Barron, joined the president in the bunker, though Secret Service protocol would have called for all those under the agency’s protection to be in the underground shelter.
Mr Trump traveled to Florida on Saturday to view the first manned space launch from the US in nearly a decade. He returned to a White House under virtual siege, with protesters – some violent – gathered just a few hundred yards away through much of the night. Demonstrators returned Sunday afternoon, facing off against police at Lafayette Park into the evening.
As cities burned night after night and images of violence dominated television coverage, Mr Trump’s advisers discussed the prospect of an Oval Office address in an attempt to ease tensions. But the notion was quickly scrapped for lack of policy proposals and the president’s own seeming lack of interest in delivering a message of unity.
In recent days, security at the White House has been reinforced by the National Guard and additional personnel from the Secret Service and the US Park Police. On Sunday, the Justice Department deployed members of the US Marshals Service and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration to supplement National Guard troops outside the White House, according to a senior Justice Department official who spoke anonymously.

The suspect said to be a resident of Ogun State, was picked up by the decoy team of the RRS last Thursday.

The suspect

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a 19-year-old National Diploma holder of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, for plotting to blackmail popular artiste, Salawa Abeni, The PUNCH reports.

The suspect, Olufowoke Emmanuel, said to be a resident of Ogun State, was picked up by the decoy team of the RRS last Thursday.

The police were said to have been trailing Emmanuel for three days.

The artiste recently went on social media to raise the alarm over plans to blackmail her with her nude photos.

She posted her WhatsApp conversation with the suspect and the purported old photos he planned to use for the blackmail.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, was said to have in April 2020, directed the Commander, RRS, DCP Olatunji Disu, to fish out the blackmailer.

After the technical diagnosis of the complaint, the decoy team was said to have narrowed down on him.

The police said Emmanuel could not be picked immediately because of the prevalence of the COVID-19, adding that he was later arrested.

The suspect, in his statement to the police, allegedly confessed to the crime, saying he wanted to extort money from the artiste.

The Electrical Engineering graduate, reportedly said he saw the nude pictures in a memory card he picked up on the floor in YABATECH in November 2019.

He added that after downloading the photographs on his phone, he got Abeni’s mobile number from her Instagram page.

“On 1st of April, 2020, I chatted her up and also called her after sending a few of the photos to her online.

“My intention was to negotiate with her for a few bucks and for me to destroy the photographs.

“I thought everything was going on fine until the following day when I heard the news of the blackmail over the radio.

“I was with my mother. She even cursed the blackmailer unknown to her that I was the one behind it.

“I immediately sneaked out, destroyed the memory card, and threw my mobile phone and SIM card into a nearby wetland in Magboro.

“Since then, I never mentioned it to anyone and called Madam Salawa Abeni about it again,”
 he said.

The Lagos CP, Odumosu, said no individual would be allowed to commit a crime in Lagos from any state or escape to other states in Nigeria to evade arrest.

He advised parents to monitor their children, emphasising that the Internet was a fertile ground for opportunities but the command would not allow criminals to use it to exploit law-abiding residents.

The officer has been nabbed

Accordng to The Nation, a yet- to- be named policeman on Sunday morning allegedly opened fire on his colleagues at Onikan, killing some of them.

The yet- to- be named officer went berserk around 5am following a disagreement with other members of his team.

It was gathered that the trigger- happy cop hijacked their operational vehicle after shooting them and drove straight to Akoka in Yaba around 5am where he attempted to access a compound but couldn’t.

According to sources, the building had a metallic door and the policeman said to be attached to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) allegedly opened sporadic fire on the property to gain access.

Residents said they were frightened and took cover not knowing what was happening since it was around 5am.

The Nation gathered that no fewer than 30 bullet holes were counted in an apartment, corridor and ceiling of the premises.

It was learnt that the shooter, who spotted black outfit and rose in a white escort van with siren, might have become more frustrated after his vehicle stock in a ditch when he made to escape.

Sources said distress calls were made to the Bariga Police Division and the Rapif Response Squad (RRS) who deployed operatives to the scene and restrained the acrive shooter.

From short videos obtained by The Nation from residents, the trigger happy cop was screaming incoherent, a development suggestive of a possible mental illness.

He was heard alleging that some persons wanted to corrupt him and that he should be allowed to go home in the name of Jesus.

At the time of this report, police spokesman Bala Elkana told our correspondent that the command was investigating the matter to understand what truly happened, adding that a statement would be released later.

According to Okiyi-Kalu, Ononiwu is now in medical custody and currently at the isolation center in Amachara, Umuahia South Local Government Area of the state.

Ononiwu was said to have reported at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Aba, with his family, including his wife, at 8.05am Saturday.

He was said to have been immediately moved by a state rapid response ambulance to the Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Center, Amachara, Umuahia, for isolation and management.

At least 268 Nigerians evacuated from China have arrived in Abuja, The PUNCH can confirm.

The flight that conveyed the evacuees landed at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport on Saturday afternoon.

Disclosing this in a tweet, the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the returnees would proceed on compulsory 14 days quarantine as stipulated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

Some of the nationals had faced serial racial discriminations in Guangzhou, China, from provincial officials.

They were reportedly evicted from their apartments and hotels following their alleged refusal to go for the mandatory quarantine imposed by the Guangdong Provincial authorities sequel to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Some Nigerians sent a video of a woman with two children who were staying on the streets.

In the footage, the unidentified woman was feeding her infant daughter as the older second child slept in a baby walker; she was allegedly evicted from her apartment.

But the Chinese authorities said they subsequently provided free hotel accommodations for 207 Nigerians.

The government said the beneficiaries included Nigerians who were evicted from their hotels and apartments by officials in the wake of the compulsory quarantine and testing of foreigners for coronavirus by the Guangzhou Municipal Authorities.

The shocking story has been told of the 75-year-old Imo Poly retired staff who got stabbed to death by her husband.

Mr. Theophilus C. Okere

The late Beatrice

The sleepy, rural Amafor, Imerienwe community in Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo State, hit the social media Sunday, May 24, 2020, for the two reasons.

A respected octogenarian indigene of the community and former Director General, DG, of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, IBC, Mr. Theophilus C. Okere, reportedly stabbed his 75-year old wife, Beatrice, to death!

The story, for some pepple, was that it was one of the many fake news items in the social space, while a number of others branded the emerging report as a tale from fantasy.

Truth is that not many people, including the stunned villagers, believed the story, especially when the unfettered and palpable marital bliss between the couple, which reportedly spanned a period of over 50 years, was taken into reckoning.

Somehow, the rumour not only refused to fade, but grew stronger by every passing minute. The Okere family country home, became a Mecca of sorts, as people trooped to the gory scene to confirm the veracity or otherwise, of the equally gory news they heard.

The news network ultimately, continued to multiply, as more villagers confirmed the incident. Apprehension and confusion immediately and understandably, enveloped the community. With this development, the sordid incident became more prominent in the social media, and the troubled community became the cynosure of eyes!

A trip to the community, raised the issue of poor access road.

It gave Saturday Vanguard an insight into what the villagers pass through on a daily basis, but this is the story for another day.

When Saturday Vanguard visited the community, some villagers were seen in groups, discussing the incident. However, not many of them were favourably disposed to discuss the issue with Saturday Vanguard.

A villager, who eventually agreed to speak on strict grounds of anonymity, after much pressure, described the incident as “unbelievable and most unfortunate”

His words: “The incident is unbelievable and most unfortunate. I feel very bad to think that Ndaa T.C, like most villagers fondly called him, stabbed his wife to death.

“I am aware that the couple have lived together for more than 50 years. The family was a model for a lot of us. We all looked forward to living like Ndaa T. C and his wife.

“His wife retired from Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo. She was very pleasing character, very religious and a respected woman leader in the community. She was a leader of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Imerienwe.”

Another story was weaved around the incident. The villagers were overheard, saying that “the man has been suffering from dimentia for awhile”.

Again, a villager’s words: “Ndaa T. C has been battling with dimentia. I am also aware that his family has been battling to take proper care of the medical condition.

“Those, who arrived the crime scene earlier than myself, told me that the man did not even know that his wife was dead.

We have never witnessed this sort of occurrence in our community, within available memory.

“When Ndaa T. C was asked why he stabbed his wife to death, he simply replied that she was sleeping.

There is every reason to believe that he was not even conscious of what he did.

Let me also recall that on one of the recent Sundays, when Ndaa T. C went to church, he announced that his car was missing! But his car was neatly parked in his house.”

A medical journal described dimentia as a disease condition characterised by a decline in memory, language, problem solving and other thinking skills, which affects a person’s ability to perform all activities.

Saturday Vanguard gathered that the man’s family had been managing the medical condition for some time.

Another sad incident in the family is that the former IBC-DG’s second son, Emmanuel Okere, died in February this year.

“The young man’s corpse has been lying in the morgue since February, before this unfortunate incident”,
the villager said.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu, has not only confirmed the incident to newsmen in Owerri, but also affirmed that the suspect is in their custody and the Command has commenced serious investigation into the matter.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers said he could hardly walk after contracting the novel coronavirus in March but he has since made a full recovery.

Rodgers is the second manager to confirm he had a positive test for COVID-19 after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

He said he showed strong symptoms and was left breathless after falling ill shortly after the Premier League season was suspended.

“I could hardly walk and it reminded me of walking up Mount Kilimanjaro,” Rodgers, who climbed the mountain for charity in 2011, said.

“We had a week off when we were supposed to play Watford and then the week after that, I started to struggle.

“For three weeks I had no smell or taste. I had no strength, and a week after, my wife was the same. We were tested and both of us were detected with the virus,”
the 47-year-old former Liverpool and Celtic boss added.

“I remember trying to run for the first time and it was hard to go 10 yards. I had no real appetite and it was a weird sensation of eating food without ever tasting and smelling what it was. It has made me really appreciate being fit and healthy.”

Since players returned to limited group training last Tuesday, 12 positive tests for the virus have been confirmed at England’s top flight clubs.

The Premier League, which has nine rounds remaining, will restart on June 17, with Leicester in third place on 53 points, four behind second-placed Manchester City.

British boxer, Tyson Fury, has said that he would knock out fellow countryman, Anthony Joshua, in the 3rd round because the 30-year-old has ‘no footwork’.

Fury also claimed that Joshua has been avoiding to fight him for 5 years.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are both on course for a heavyweight unification fight next year.

Fury knocked out American boxer, Deontay Wilder, in his last fight in Las Vegas last February.

Joshua also defeated Mexican-American boxer, Andy Ruiz Jr, in his last fight in Saudi Arabia last December.

“Anthony Joshua’s style is tailor-made for mine,” Fury told Redknapp’s Home Fixture on Sky Sports.

“He is strong and powerful, but he got no footwork.

“I have been offering to fight Anthony Joshua for the last five years, and it has not happened at all.

“I think I would knock him out in two or three rounds.”

"The officer who has been identified as Derek Chauvin in the death of Mr. Floyd has been taken into custody by the BCA," Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington told reporters on Friday afternoon.
The news was first reported by local reporters and outlets, including the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
It remains unclear what charges Chauvin faces. No other police officers are in custody.
According to Star Tribune reporter Briana Beirschbach, Harrington will be holding a press conference about the release later on Friday.
Harrington called Floyd's death a "murder" during a morning press conference, according to Star-Tribune reporter Liz Sawyer.

Floyd can be heard in the video repeatedly telling the officers, "I can't breathe," and his death has sparked nationwide protests.

The animals snatched the COVID-19 blood test samples that had been taken from three patients and fled.

Monkeys COVID-19

File photo

A gang of monkeys attacked a laboratory assistant and escaped with a batch of coronavirus blood test samples, a report by Sky News has shown.

The bizarre incident saw the troop of primates launch their assault near Meerut Medical College in Delhi, India.

According to local media, the animals then snatched COVID-19 blood test samples that had been taken from three patients and fled.

One of the monkeys was later spotted in a tree chewing one of the sample collection kits, the Times of India reported - adding that test samples from the patients had to be taken again.

It is the latest example of the highly intelligent, red-faced rhesus macaques taking advantage of India's nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of coronavirus.

While they have proved an increasing problem in urban areas of the country in recent years, lockdown measures in the last two months are believed to have emboldened the monkeys.

Reports have shown them congregating in parts of Delhi normally crowded with humans.

The animals have adapted to live in close contact with people, and it is believed some groups have struggled in the absence of human food they had come to rely on.

People have been advised not to feed the monkeys while the pandemic continues, with experts suggesting doing so could cause the virus to mutate and infect primates.

A senior biologist from the Tamil Nadu Forest Department previously warned that if this did happen, the mutated virus could have a devastating impact on primate species and other wildlife which prey on them.

"The point is, we have very little understanding of the virus, and it is better to limit our interactions with wildlife till there is more research done on its effects on non-human primates and other animal species,"
 he told The Hindu.

Reports have previously emerged of the primates causing chaos in Delhi, snatching food and mobile telephones, breaking into homes and terrorising people in and around the Indian capital.

They have colonised areas around the city's parliament and the sites of key ministries, from the prime minister's office to the finance and defence ministries, scaring both civil servants and the public.

"Very often they snatch food from people as they are walking, and sometimes they even tear files and documents by climbing in through the windows," said Ragini Sharma, a home ministry employee, in 2018.

The girl was found with a broken skull and died from horrific injuries before paramedics arrived at the scene.

A teenage boy has admitted to killing his ten-year-old sister in her sleep after they argued over using a computer tablet according to the Daily Mail news.

The girl, named as Luda and described by local media as smart and spirited, was hammered to death at her home in the city of Taraz, northern Kazakhstan.

She was found with a broken skull and died from horrific injuries before paramedics arrived at the scene.

According to the neighbours, the tragedy occurred after Luda and her brother Aleksey, 15, had a row in the courtyard near their house.

A neighbour who witnessed the incident said: I heard them quarreling over a tablet and saw Aleksey carrying a hammer in his hand. The girl’s head was crushed. A part of the skull fell off when paramedics lifted up her head.

Aleksey is said to be a gamer and his sister had asked for the device for studying. Aleksey attacked Luda at night in her sleep by smashing a hammer into her head multiple times.

He then reportedly carried her body and dump it in the street near his neighbours’ fence.

After dumping the body, Aleksey allegedly changed his clothes and alarmed his parents by telling them that ‘his sister disappeared’, according to local media.

The family rushed to search for the girl and Aleksey, who ‘actively helped’, led them to the body, before his parents called authorities.

Law enforcement launched a criminal case for murder against Aleksey who confessed to the crime. He faces up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.

Ardak Madimarov, the head deputy of the criminal investigations department added:

The hammer along with the suspect’s T-shirt and his shoes covered with the victim’s blood were discovered in the house.

During interrogation, he said that he killed the girl because she pissed him off. Zhandos Mametkulov, the head deputy of a local police department further commented: "The girl died from injuries not compatible with life before paramedics arrived at the scene."

Exam malpractice charges brought before the former governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has been dropped.

Former governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The Federal government has withdrawn the examination malpractice charges filed against the former governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The charges were filed during the heat of the Osun state governorship election campaign in 2018, accusing Adeleke and one of his relatives, Sikiru Adeleke, of engaging in examination malpractice.
Ademola and Sikiru were accused of impersonation, registering as students of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School, Ojo-Aro, Osun State to enable them to sit for the National Examinations Council (NECO) examination of June/July 2017.
They were later arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja in October 2018 along with Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau (the school principal), Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo (registrar) and Dare Samuel Olutope, a teacher in the school. The other three defendants were accused of aiding the commission of the alleged offence.
At the resumed hearing of the case on Thursday, May 28, the prosecution lawyer, Simon Lough said the state has amended the charge to exclude Adeleke, in view of his continued absence in court. Adeleke has failed to attend court since last year when he was granted permission, by the trial judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, to travel to the United States on medical grounds.
The Nation reports that lawyers to the defendants, led by Alex Izinyon (SAN) did not object to the prosecution’s decision to amend its charge. They however disagreed with the prosecution on the appropriate order to be made; whether Adeleke should be simply discharged, based on the withdrawal of the charge against him, or whether he should be discharged and acquitted.
Justice Ekwo has fixed ruing on the issue for today Friday, May 30.

Innovative nightclub owners in Lagos and the strippers on their payroll, have found a way around lockdown season.

Dressed in knee-length satin outfit and comfy shoes, Adanna jogs to the waiting jeep parked on Bode Thomas in Surulere, Lagos, where she meets two other ladies sitting pretty.

Time check: 5pm.

She throws her backpack to the floor of the car, engages in small talk with the other women and the driver--a young man ferrying them all to a posh apartment in Lekki, highbrow Lagos.

The jeep would make a few more stops in Ikeja and Ogba to pick up other young women before hitting the 3rd mainland bridge enroute the Island.

Adanna and the girls are headed for a lavish, raunchy, house party in Lekki where they would soon swap knee length dresses for bumshorts, panties and bras or go nude if it came to that; while partying till the sun comes up.

Partying till they drop.

It’s a strip club without being in a strip club.

Young men would go on to show appreciation for the twerks and booty smacking by spraying Naira notes and pouring Champagne on the naked women in front of them.

Lap dances are separately paid for.

Even though the federal and Lagos state governments have eased coronavirus induced restrictions in the city since May 4, churches, mosques, schools and nightclubs remain shuttered.

“We have to survive and stripping is all we know at this point,” says Abigail, another young woman who has been to many of these erotic and risque house parties since the lockdown season commenced in late March.

Jonathan, who has hosted one of these house parties in Ikoyi alongside his friends, tells Pulse that club goers had to look for another way to unwind until the government permits the clubs and pubs to return to business.

He also confesses that the nightclub owners or management are part of the deal.

“My brother, the human body is not firewood and I’m sure you know this. What we do is that we reach an agreement with the strip clubs, pay them an agreed sum of money.

“These strip clubs then put phone calls across to the girls and tell them that they will be at so-so houses for strip parties on certain dates. Everybody wins in the end, bro. We have to keep the clubs and strippers in business, lockdown or not,” Jonathan says with a throaty laugh.

However, some strippers have jumped into house parties on their own terms, without entering deals struck by strip club owners.1

“I think I make even more money these days and my bosses are not aware. They don’t have to know, really. They understand that we have to survive somehow in this tough season and our bodies are our biggest assets,” says Lizzy, who has stripped at some of the rave-of-the moment nightclubs in Ikeja, Victoria Island, Festac, Ikoyi and Lekki. “We have to keep ‘hoiling’ this booty to keep it juicy for when the clubs return,” she adds, throwing her head backwards in hysterical laughter.

At the Lekki erotic house party around 5:30am, Adanna and 10 other ladies, drunk and exhausted from twerking and lap dancing all night, lie spread-eagled on couches in the expansive living room strewn with empty bottles of all kinds of alcoholic beverages.

“Dress up babes, we have to go drop you off now!” orders Tunde, a thickset man in his 30s with biceps that have been manufactured in gyms.

Lagos' streets have gone empty at night as coronavirus cases in the state increase (Pulse)Lagos' streets have gone empty at night as coronavirus cases in the state increase (Pulse)

Outside in the parking lot, a range of cars are at the ready to take the girls to locations across town, from whence they came the day before.

Adanna slips into her satin dress, straps her backpack and lurches to her designated jeep. She’ll be at the next strip house party when she receives the call to show up at one--wherever that may be. She was after all born ready.

For now, she needs to go catch some sleep and recharge those batteries. The day is still young.

A senior police officer says lockdown has been a pressure cooker for gangs who are taunting each other on social media.

There could be a significant increase in violent crime fuelled by gang rivalries on social media which may spill on to the streets when lockdown rules are lifted, a senior police officer has warned.

John Apter, chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, said social media sites "have been a breeding ground" for gangs to taunt each other.

"We are very much aware of the pressure cooker that has developed when it comes to gang members who want to create mayhem when this lockdown is eased," he said.

"My real genuine fear is that some scores are going to be settled and that will mean more people being hurt or, god forbid, being murdered on our streets."

Fearing a rise in stabbings and shootings, Mr Apter said although crime levels in England and Wales have fallen by more than a quarter during the pandemic, a surge in gang violence linked to county lines may escalate tensions.

The Metropolitan Police has launched a blitz on gang activity and has created new "violence suppression units" to deal with the predicted surge.

Mr Apter said: "We have never been in this situation before so I think it's not unreasonable to say that the level of crime which we have seen reduce will significantly increase again.

German coach Gernot Rohr will remain as Super Eagles after agreeing on a new contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the federation’s boss Amaju Pinnick has confirmed.

Rohr and the NFF have been going back and forth on a new deal with his current contract to expire on June 1.

All contractual discussions have now been concluded and Rohr who was first appointed in June 2016 will continue his work with the Super Eagles.

I'm happy to announce that the @thenff and Coach Gernot Rohr have concluded all contractual discussions and he will stay on as Coach of the Super Eagles,” Pinnick on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, announced on Twitter.

We can now focus on qualifying for the World Cup and winning the Nations Cup.

“In truth, these are sacrosanct and Coach Rohr is aware of these conditions. Like the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development has rightly noted; we are uncompromising in these goals.

“The board of the Federation & I are totally in agreement with the minister on the goals for the team and it is unwavering.”

With the distraction of the contract talks out of the way now, we can now face our football on the pitch, totally. Again, I never lost confidence in Gernot Rohr's ability to take our football forward and I'm convinced our football will only get better from here on,” the NFF boss also said.

The agreement between both parties brings to end the bickering that went on for a few months.

After years of disagreements over a host of issues including choice of stadiums for home games, Rohr got more uncomfortable when the NFF delayed contract talks after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Franco-German infuriated his bosses at the NFF with an interview in November 2019 where he expressed his frustration at the delay in contract talks and also revealed that he was being owed some wages. The NFF responded by sending him a query for publicly disclosin details of his contract

The NFF also forced Rohr’s hands with some terms in the contract offer which stipulate that he must agree to live in Nigeria earn in Naira and developed home-based players

It’s now until 2022 for Rohr who will now focus on getting Nigeria to AFCON 2021 and winning it which is top of NFF’s top priority.

Next will be to lead the Super Eagles to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Rohr was first appointed in August 2016 on a two-year contract which he renewed for another two years in January 2018.

He led Nigeria to AFCON 2019 where the Super Eagles finished third and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where his side crashed out of the group stage.

In total, the Super Eagles have played 49 games under Rohr with 29 wins, 11 draws and nine loses.
